bhoot the stones will take the same time to react to the ground because the two stones fall the same night
as both the stones will have initial velocity u =0, a=g acceleration due to gravity,distance(s) = s; t=?
using equation of motion
s=ut+1/2 at squair
time taken for the first stone to travel

s=ut+1/2 at squair
s=0×t+1/2gt squair
s=0+1/2gt squair
2s/g=t(2)
under root 2 / g = t

Answer:

time taken by both the stones to reach the ground will be the same.

Explanation:

Both the stones will reach the ground will reach the ground simultaneously. This is because motion along the horizontal and motion along the vertical are independent of each other.

In the vertical direction, for both the stones,

s=h,

u=0

and

a=g

From

s = ut +1/2a t^2

t=√2h/g

time taken by both the stones to reach the ground must be the same.
