The colour of lead nitrate is  yellowish in nature lead oxide is black in colour the gas x is nitrogen dioxide and its colour is reddish Brown

Explanation:

  • The sample which is given above denotes the heating of lead nitrate to liberate a black substance which is lead oxide which is the residue.
  • A neutral gas oxygen is liberated along with a reddish brown gas which is nitrogen dioxide ,in this example in lead nitrate can be proved by the brown ring test which is given by most of the nitrates
