The discount equivalent to successive

discounts 20% and 10% =(r1+r2−r1r2100)(r1+r2−r1r2100)%

where, r1r1 = 20 and r2r2 = 10

Then, 30 - 2 = 28%

According to the question,

(100−28)x100−(100−30)x100=72(100−28)x100−(100−30)x100=72

72x−70x100=7272x−70x100=72

72×100272×1002=Rs.3600
