Answer:

The pH changes if the fruit juices are from different fruits and remains same if they are from same.

Explanation:

On mixing any two fruit juices(assumed of equal volumes),

assume that they are same first,

.................(1)

from equation (1), mixing two fruit juices is mixing two

since, they are assumed to be same, mixing two ( H+) ions of same concentration of equal volumes doesn't alter the concentration of .

that is ,  remains same from same fruit juice.

Thus,  remains same, therefore pH remains unaltered.

2. similarly, mixing two different fruit juices of same volume is same as mixing two different .

Therefore, resultant  is sum of the two .

assume them to be [H₁+] and [H₂+]. Therefore resultant concentration of hydrogen ions is [H+]=[H₁+]+[H₂+]

Therefore  ,

this is different from single juice concentration.

therefore pH changes on mixing two different juices of equal volume.

Hope it helps you!

On mixing any two fruit juices, the pH would remain same.

Explanation:

It is known that fruits contain vitamin C which makes them acidic in nature. As a result, the pH of fruit juices is generally less than 7. Also, we know that when pH of a substance is less than 7 then it is acidic in nature.

A pH more than 7 means the substance is basic in nature and a pH equals to 7 means that the substance is neutral in nature.

Therefore, when two any two fruit juices are mixed together then there will not occur much. Hence, on mixing any two fruit juices, the pH will remain same.
