Lets assume that there are 3° hydrogen and then there is a 2° H and then there are 3 methyl groups all of which have 1°H. However, all the 3 methyl groups are not the same, as the two of them are bonded to the 3° carbon while the other one is bonded to a 2° carbon.

Thus, 2-methylbutane an monochlorination will give 4 isomers, among which I and lll will be chiral in nature. Thus, 2 chiral compounds are formed in the above reaction
