on ohm's experiment ,the value of the unknown resistances were found to be a 6.12 ,6.09, 6.22 ,6.15 calculate the percentage error in these measurements​

◆ Explanation -

Mean value of unknown resistance is -

R = (6.12 + 6.09 + 6.22 + 6.15) / 4

R = 6.145 ohm

Now mean error in measurement of resistance will be -

∆R = (|6.145-6.12| + |6.145-6.09| + |6.145-6.22| + |6.145-6.15|) / 4

∆R = 0.04 ohm

Now, percentage error will be -

∆R/R % = 0.04 / 6.145 × 100

∆R/R % = 0.65 %

Therefore, percentage error in measurement of unknown resistance is 0.65 %.
