Given :   Physical Education teacher made all students stand in rows having 12,15 and 20 students,at different point of time for march past .

To find : At one point of time , the students were arranged in solid square

Solution:

Students can stands in rows having

12 , 15 & 20 students

Hence students are multiple of 12 , 15 & 20

Students will be multiple of LCM

12 = 2 * 2 * 3

15 = 3 * 5

20 = 2 * 2 * 5

LCM = 2 * 2  * 3 * 5

=> LCM = 120

Students are multiple of  120    =  2 * 2 * 3 * 5

Now students can be arranged in square

Hence   2 * 2 * 3 * 5 * 3 * 5

= 2² x 3² x 5²

= 30²

= 900

atleast 900  students were present in school on that day
