We know that one glucose molecule gives 38 ATP in oxidation,
So one mole of glucose will give 38 moles of ATP.
=> for 40 moles of ATP, glucose required = 40/38 = 1.052 moles
Now 1 mole of glucose weight = 180gms
Hence 1.052 moles glucose weigh = 180 x 1.052 = 189.47 gms
