Answer:

508.25

Step-by-step explanation:

I Want To Say You That here one mistake c. p. of ball not equal to 5 balls of price but s. p. of ball is equal to rupees of 5 balls.

S.p. of 17 balls =720

s. p. of one ball =720/17

=42.35

so, loss =s. p. of 5 balls

loss =42.35 x5

= 211.75

Then, the c. p. =s. p. -loss

=720-211.75

=508.25

hope it helps you......

\large{ \underline {\sf☆Given:-}}

  • Selling price of 17 balls = 720
  • Loss equal to the price of 5 balls

\large{ \underline {\sf☆Let:-}} </p><p>

  • The cost price of a ball be Rs. x.

So ,

  • The cp of 17 balls = 17x
  • The cp of 5 balls = 5x

\large{ \underline {\sf☆Solution:-}}

\sf \mapsto Loss = Cp-Sp

\sf \mapsto5x = 17x - 720

\sf \mapsto720 = 17x - 5x

\sf \mapsto720 = 12x

\sf \mapsto x = \large \frac{720}{12}

\sf \mapsto x = 60
