Let, C.P of the article be X
Profit. =10% of X
=10/100 x X =X/10
S.P of the article= Rs. 2640
Therefore, According to the question,
X + X/10 = Rs. 2640
=> 11X/10= Rs. 2640
=> X = Rs. 2640 x 10/11
=> X = Rs. 2400
Therefore, C.P of the article is Rs. 2400.
