Hlo friend, here is your answer.
Given that
Selling Price = ₹7,350
Gain = 1/6 of Cost Price
We have to find the cost price.
Solution
Let the cost price of the fan be x. Then,
gain = 1/6x = x/6
Cost Price = Selling Price - Gain
x = 7,350 - x/6
x + x/6 = 7,350
6x + x/6 = 7,350
7x/6 = 7,350
x = 7,350×6/7
x = 6,300
Hence, the cost price of the fan is ₹6,300.
Hope it helps you.

Hi ,
According to the problem given ,
Selling price of the exhaust fan = S.P = Rs 7350
Let the cost price of the exhaust fan ( C.P ) = Rs x
Gain = 1 / 6 of C.P
= x / 6
We know that ,
Cost price = Selling Price - Gain
x = 7350 - x / 6
x + x / 6 = 7350
( 6x + x ) / 6 = 7350
7x / 6 = 7350
x = 7350 × ( 6 / 7 )
x = 1050 × 6
x = 6300
therefore ,
Cost price of the exhaust fan = x = Rs6300
I hope this helps you.
