The whole food chain will be damaged....As the snakes will also not get rats to eat.....

Hlo friend, here is your answer.
lf the all rats will die, then the rest of the chain gets affected. For example - if the rats are removed , the animals ,like snake will die and there will be scarcity of food for the carnivores, like lion and tiger. If the decomposers, like bacteria, are removed, the nutrients will not be recycled and soil would become deficient in nutrients and would not be able to support plant life. The whole food webs will destroy.
