loss per kg = 10%

total loss = 120

10%= 120

total amount on selling apples= 120*10= 1200

rate of apple= 40 rs per kg

the quantity of apples = 1200/40= 30

on selling Rs40/Kg he incurs 10%loss so

loss =(10/100)(40)

=Rs4

so 4 rupees loss at 1Kg of apples

so 4*x=120

x=120/4

therefore X=30

the shop vendor losses 120 rupees for 30Kg of apples
