                                                       Power of Pen

Pen is mightier than sword. The might of pen over sword is time tested! All the dictators and despots who endeavoured to win the world by the might of their sword could never accomplish their mission. They were defeated by people and the democratic forces of the world. The French Revolution, The Russian Revolution, The American Revolution, The Indian Struggle for Independence, all stand witness to the fact that pen is mightier than sword. All freedom fighters used pen as a weapon against the atrocities of the autocrats and colonialists.

On the other hand great people like Shakespeare, Dante, Virgil, Homer, J.K. Rowling won the hearts of millions of people from all countries of the world by creating beautiful masterpieces with their writing pens. They used no sword, no power, no coercion to win so many hearts, even from different nationalities. So pen is mightier than swords.

Pen is more powerful than time and sword indeed. The poet, Shakespeare through his pen immortalized his friend by preserving the memory of his good deeds in the poem , 'Not Marbles, Nor the Gilded Monuments', which will be handed down from one generation to another. Neither time, nor sword could obliterate this memory. So in this sense pen is mightier than time and sword.
