Answer:
SPEECH ON LATE Dr. ABDUL KALAM ON HIS DEATH ANNIVERSARY
- To the distinguished Principal, teachers and dear friends, I am grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me. I would like to express my thoughts and understand Dr. Kalam Sir's personality through this speech. I am very proud to have been born in a country where he was, India. He must have been a commoner like us and eventually became a big personality.
- APJ Abdul Kalam is also called the rocket man of India. He was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. Also referred to as the People's President, he was the eleventh President of India. He served the nation as President from 2002 to 2007. He has worked with organizations such as DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) and ISRO (Indian Space Research and Development Organization).
- He was a physics and aerospace engineering student. Still considered the pinnacle of scientific discovery, he is revered by Indian students for his dedication, nobility and resourcefulness. It's rare to see a man like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam whose ideas inspire the youth of India. He worked to make India a better country and had ambitions in that regard. It would be great of us to do something to make the nation proud and similarly fulfill your desires for the India dream you have envisioned.
- He was a man of dreams and the man who inspires dreams, his vision of dreams is impressive. He says dreams are not the ones we see while we sleep, but the ones that keep us from sleeping. Isn't it true that in order to achieve one's dream one must work hard, burn the oil of the midnight lamp, and not just think about it? I would encourage people to become people of action instead of just becoming dreamers. Your ideas are pragmatic and noble, and if you bring them to your life successfully, nothing can stop from achieving your goals.
- Now, while we are talking about how APJ Abdul Kalam influences us, let's also find out who has been his inspiration throughout his life. The first was his teacher Iyadurai Solomon and the second Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. In 1997 Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam bestowed the highest civilian honor Bharat Ratna. However, what pains us most is his death when he collapsed during a speech at the Institute of Administration, Shillong and left us on 27 July 2015 at the age of 83. It was a sad day in the timeline of Indian history.
- Though he left us, he lives on in our hearts as a source of inspiration for all dreamers in India. He was a man of great stature and courage. I would like to conclude my speech by telling that, we should all dream like him and change the pictures of our lives and our nation, just like him.
