Answer:

An icebreaker is an activity, game or event that is used to welcome or warm up the conversation among the participants in a meeting, training class, team building session or any other event. any event that requires people to comfortably interact with each other. A facilitator is a person who adds value to a classroom planning session by keeping the group on task and moving in the same direction. An effective icebreaker will warm up the conversation in your classroom session, reinforce the topic of the session, and ensure that the students enjoy their interaction and the session. So the activity should be set in such a way that every student should be an active participant.

The basics to remember while setting an Icebreaker Activity:

Maximum participation is expected.

It should lead your students to the main topic.

There should be clear and complete instructions.

The pictures or any other material which is used for the activity should give a desired message, means there should not be ambiguity in the pictures or any other material.

It should lead to use of creativity of your students.

It should not be time consuming. ( Maximum 20 to 25 minutes )

Finally, always make sure that the instruction given by you are completely assimilated/understood by your students
