LIMITATION:

1. isotopes of an element have similar chemical properties but different atomic mass this posed challenge to Mendeleev which was also a limitation.

2.he could not assign a correct position of hydrogen in his table.

3.the atomic masses do not increase in a regular manner in going from one element to the next so it was not possible to predict how many element could be discovered between two element.

MODERN PERIODIC TABLE: it has 18 vertical column known as group and 7 horizontal row called period.It has many element and noble gas also.

MENDELEEVS PERIODIC TABLE: it has 6 period and 8 groups it contain only 66 elements and also not placed noble gas.
