Five factors influence the formation of the flow structures in wind waves: Wind speed or strength relative to wave speed—the wind must be moving faster than the wave crest for energy transfer. The uninterrupted distance of open water over which the wind blows without significant change in direction (called the fetch)

The size of the wave depends of three factors
1) the distance over which the wind blows
2) the strength of the Wind
3) and the duration of that the wind blows
These are the three factors of the size of the wave and if you find my answer helpful you can mark me as the brainliest and say thanks. so that I will be pleased to that I helped someone in need. Thank you.
