on what factors does work done depends

Work done is defined as the product of force into displacement
Mathematically, Work = F.x Cosθ
where F = force, x = displacement and θ is the displacement angle
Thus along with force work done also depends on the displacement angle. If force and displacement are in opposite direction then negative work is done on the object i.e it may be subjected to external forces like friction, air resistance, tension force etc.
Hence work done depends on both displacement of the body and the component of external force acting in the direction of its displacement.
