Mahatma Gandhi urged people to use swadeshi things. He told the Indians to boycott the British textiles from India as he felt the import of clothes from England had ruined the Indian weavers. Also using of the British textiles led to their profit and downfall to indian textiles. He tries to make India free from exploitation from within and without.
