Species of the penguin:

There are 17 species of penguins found around the world, but only 7 live in the Antarctic and may be considered true Antarctic penguins. Adélies, Kings, Chinstraps, Emperors, Gentoos, Macaroni, and Rockhoppers are the various species.

Why can't they fly:

The only birds that cannot fold their wings are penguins. Like a flipper, their wing bones are fused straight, making the wing rigid and powerful. Penguins, on the other hand, aren't nearly as concerned about their weight as flying birds.
