The moment electrons pass from one point to another in a conductor, the direction of the current will no doubt become opposite. In terms of magnitude, the following calculation is required:

Given,

        Total no. of electrons = 1billion = (10)9

Total charge on electrons (q) = ne

        Or q = 10 9 * 1.6 * 10 -19

        Or q = 1.6 * 10 -10

Total amount of current that will flow through the wire will be calculated by the formula I = (q/t)

Or I = [(1.6 * 10 -10 )/ 10 -4]

Or I = (1.6 * 10 -6) A
