No. of camel gone to mountains = 2 √ x

No. of camel seen on bank of river = 15

Total no. of camel .

x / 4 + 2 √ x + 15

x = x / 4 + 2 √ x + 15

3 x - 60 = 8 √ x

Squaring on both sides:

64 x = 9 x² - 360 x + 3600

9 x² - 424 x + 3600 = 0

( x - 36 ) ( 9 x - 100 ) = 0

x = 36 or x = 100 / 9

Since camels cannot be in fraction .

Hence final answer i.e. total numbers of camels are 36.
