So Total Possible outcomes (TPO) = 52.
Now, there are 13 hearts, 13 diamonds, 13 spade and 13 clubs among the 52 cards.
There are 3 face cards (King, Queen and Jack) of Hearts, 3 for spade, 3 for diamonds and 3 for club.
Hence, total number of face cards = 3+3+3+3 = 12
Others are non face cards (A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10)
Hence, number of non face cards = 52 - 12 = 40
Thus, number of favourable outcomes (NFO) = 40
Thus, Probability of a non face card = NFO/TPO
= 40/52
=20/26
=10/13 (Ans).
