The object distance be u= 30 cm

To find:

The separation of the image.

Solution:

The lens formula is

1/f= 1/v-1/u

Putting the above values

-1/20=1/v-1/30

-1/20+1/30=1/v

1/v=1/60

v=60 cm

So the separation of the images is at 60 cm
