Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

8 birds

● Explanation -

Let x be total no of birds in flock.

Birds at riverbank are x/4. Birds in the nest are x/5.

Remaining 22 birds are searching for food.

Birds searching for food = x - x/4 - x/5

22 = 11x/20

x = 22 × 20/11

x = 40 birds

Hence, birds in the nest are x/5 = 40/5 = 8 birds.

Hence, 8 birds are in the nest.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
