one-fourth of a number added to two-seventh of it gives 135; find the number.

252 is answer

Let the number be x

1/4x+2/7x=135

LCM of 4 and 7 be 28

(7+8)/28=135

15x=135×28

x=135×28/15

x=9×28=252.
