 \frac{x}{4}
Now increasing the number by 7 we get
 \frac{x}{4 } \: + \: 7
Then multiplying the number by 3, we get
 \frac{3x }{4} + 21
This is equal to 36.
 \frac{3x}{4} + 21 = 36 \\
 \frac{3x}{4} = 36 - 21 = 15
x = 15 \times \frac{4}{3} = 20.
x = 20
