Answer:

Option (B)

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution :-

Let the total height of the pole be X m

The portion which is painted red = 1/4 of X

=> (1/4)×X

=> X/4 m

The portion which is painted blue = 2/5 of X

=> (2/5)×X

=> 2X/5 m

Total portion of the pole which is painted red and blue = (X/4)+(2X/5)

LCM of 4 and 5 = 20

=> (5X+8X)/20

=> 13X/20 m

Remaining portion = Total height - coloured portion

=> X-(13X/20)

=> (20X-13X)/20

=> 7X/20 m

According to the given problem

Remaining portion = 21 m

=> 7X /20 = 21

=> 7X = 21×20

=> 7X = 420

=> X = 420/7

=> X = 60 m

Therefore, X = 60 m

Answer:-

Total height of the pole = 60 m
