Solution - Amount of sugar required in another recipe = 2*1/16

Amount of sugar required = 1/8 cup

Excess amount = $\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{8}$

Taking LCM, we get 8

Excess amount = $\frac{(1 \times 4) - 1}{8}$

Excess amount = $\frac{4 - 1}{8}$
