salt is an electrovalent or ionic bond and its made up of na+ cl- thats why its bod are strong and boiling point is abot 800 degree c

because ,,,sodium ions have positive charge whereas chloride ion have negative charge ,due to opposite charge of sodium ions and chloride ions are held together by the electrostatic force of attraction to form sodium
chloride , Na+Cl- or NaCl..
