Given :- One half of a number subtracted from its thrice gives 2500.

To Find :- The required number.

Let, us assumed that the number will be = x

One half ( 1/2 ) of the number = x / 2

Thrice  number is = 3x

Now, as per as our question :-

3x - x/2 = 2500

( 6x - x ) / 2 = 2500

5x/2 = 2500

5x = 5000

x = 5000/5

x = 1000

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Answer:-}}}}

The required number is 1000

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Explanation:-}}}}

Given :- Half of a number is subtracted from its thrice a number = 2500

To find :- Required number

Solution :-

Let the number be x

Half of a number = \sf{ \dfrac{1}{2} \times x =  \dfrac{x}{2}}

Thrice a number = 3(x) = 3x

Half of a number is subtracted from its thrice a number = 2500

Accordind to the question :-

Equation formed :- \boxed{\tt{3x - \dfrac{x}{2} = 2500}}

\tt{\dfrac{2(3x)}{1(2)} - \dfrac{x}{2} = 2500}

\tt{\dfrac{6x}{2} - \dfrac{x}{2} = 2500}

\tt{\dfrac{6x - x}{2} = 2500}

\tt{\dfrac{5x}{2} = 2500}

\tt{5x = 2500 \times 2}

\tt{5x = 5000}

\tt{x = \dfrac{5000}{5}}

\tt{x = 1000}

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Verification:-}}}}

\tt{3(1000) - \dfrac{1000}{2} = 2500}

\tt{3000 - 500 = 2500}

\tt{2500 = 2500}

Therefore the required number is 1000
