It says that when we first read the poem we are not amazed same as by looking at the tightly closed bud we do not see its beauty. When we read the poem over and over we understand the true beauty and meaning if the poem as after blooming we see the beauty of the flower

One is not amazed, at a first glance by a poem that is tightly closed as a tiny bud.

  • Based on the theme of not giving up on poetry right away Naoshi Koriyama wrote the poem, Unfolding Bud.
  • In this poem, the poet is comparing the poem to a flower.
  • At first, it is a bud, then it opens to a beautiful flower later.
  • In the second stanza of the poem, the poet is saying that the poetry is used to begin the subject of the poem.
  • A flower only displays its beauty only after it opens.
  • Like that the beauty of the poem also takes several readings to reveal its beauty.
