One light year is about 9.46 x 10^ 12 km or 9.46 x 10^18 mm. Is it more appropriate to report this length as 9.46 x 10^12km or 9.46 x 10^18 mm. Explain your reasoning.

It is appropriate to measure length in km. obviously we all know mm is small unit at least km is far more greater than mm. as we all know astronomical measure of distance would be better to do in km. km is multiple of SI unit of length but mm is sub multiple. mm can't be appropriate
