and one no. is 5 more than other .....so, if y is smaller no. then

x = y + 5

x -y = 5...........(i)

$x + y = 75 \\ x - y = 5$

$2x = 80 \\ x = 40$

and , put x in any eq , you will get y

$x - y = 5 \\ 40 - y = 5 \\ 40 - 5 = y \\ y = 35$
