Another number is 5 more than first number,

it means another number is ( x + 5 ).

Sum of numbers is 75.

x + ( x + 5 ) = 75

2x + 5 = 75

2x = 70

x = 35.

So, first number is 35.

Other number will be ( x + 5 ) i.e.

35 + 5 = 40

So, numbers are 35 and 40.

Smaller number is 35.
