given :
side of a rhombus = 10cm,
diagonal = 12cm
to find : other diagonal,
since side² = (d1/2)² + (d2/2)²
(by Pythagoras theorem)
=) 10² = (12/2)² + (d2/2)²
=) 100 = 6² + (d2/2)²
=) 100 - 36 = (d2/2)²
=) 64 = (d2/2)²
=) 8 = (d2/2)
=) 8*2 = d2
= 16cm.
