Let base of triangle be x

then,

its equal side = 2x-3

so,

x+(2x-3)+(2x-3) =44

5x-6=44

5x = 44+6

5x = 50

x = 50÷5

x = 10

Answer: the equations are

X= 3-2y

2y +x=3.....1st eqn

As perimeter =2x+2y

2x +2y = 44......2nd eqn

Step-by-step explanation:

Solving the eqn by elimination method

2y+x=3

2y+2x=44

Changing signs

-x= 3-44

-x=-41

Cutting minus sign

X=41

Puting the value of x in eqn 1

2y+x=3

2y+ (41)=3

2y = 3-41

2y= -38

Y= -38/2

Y = -19

So

X= 41

Y= -19
