The famous slogan "Swaraj my birth right,and I shall have it" was given by Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

•Bal Gangadhar Tilak was a famous Indian freedom fighter,teacher and an activist.

•His real name was Keshav Gangadhar Tilak.

•He was born on 23rd July 1856 in Ratnagiri District of the Bombay state of British India.

•Tilak was one of the first and strongest advocates of 'Swaraj' (self rule) and a strong radical leader.

•He formed a close alliance with many INC

(Indian National Congress) leaders including Bipin Chandra Pal,Lala Lajapat Rai,Aurobindo Ghosh etc.

•He was conferred the title of 'Lokmanya',which means "accepted by the people"(as their leader)

•He was one of the Lal-Bal-Pal triumvirate. Others were Lala Lajpat Rai and Bipin Chandra Pal.
