Let one of the parallel side of the trapezium be x.

Then the other side will be 2x.

Area = 45 cm²

Area of a trapezium = ½×(sum of parallel side) × height

45cm² = ½ × (x+2x) × 5

45cm²= ½ × 3x × 5

$\frac{45 {cm} ^{2} \times 2}{3 \times 5} = x \\ \\ 3 \times 2 = x \\ \\ x = 6$

Then the parallel sides of trapezium will be ;

x and 2 x
