the other component is
 \sqrt{60 {}^{2}  - 30 {}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{3600 - 900}  =  \sqrt{2700}

Answer:

The other component of velocity is 51.96m/s

Explanation:

Given that,

The Resultant velocity is 60m/s

The rectangular component of velocity is 30m/s

The other component of Velocity can be found using resolution of vectors as follows

V =  \sqrt{V_x {}^{2} + V _{y} {^{2}  } }  \\ V  {}^{2} =  {V_x {}^{2} + V _{y} {^{2}  } }  \\

Substituting the known values we get

60 {}^{2}  = 30 {}^{2}  + V _{y}  {}^{2}  \\  =  > V _{y} =  \sqrt{60 {}^{2} - 30 {}^{2}  }  =  \sqrt{2700}   \\  = 51.96ms {}^{ - 1}

Therefore,the other component of velocity is 51.96m/s
