Let the digits be x and 3x

One's digit =x

Ten digit=10(3x)

=30x

=x+30x

Original number=31x

Interchange the digits

One's digit=3x

Ten's digit=10(x)

=10x

=3x+10x

New number=13x

31x+13x=88

44x=88

x =  \frac{88}{44}

x=2
