Explanation:

Since the employee is hardworking with a decent work record, so the manager should try to support him in fixing his problem rather creating difficult scenarios for him. The best approach is to discuss with employee what solutions can he think of and then share feedback on them accordingly.

One solution would be to ask employee to hire some van for pick and drop services
