one parallel sides of a trapezium is 10cm more than the other. if distance between the parallel aides is 10cm and area is 400 sq.m. find the length of each parallel sides

Given,

Let one parallel side= x cm

other parallel side = (x+10)cm

Area of trap.= 400 sq.m.

area \: of \: trap. =  \frac{1}{2}  \times sum \: of \: parallel \: sides \:  \times height \\ 400 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (x + x + 10) \times 10 \\ 400 = 10x + 50 \\ x =  \frac{350}{10}  \\ x = 35cm \\ one \: side \:  = 35cm \\ other \: side \:  = 45cm
