Intellect involves reasoning and understanding something before making a decision whereas conscious is that feeling that guides one in making decisions. If decisions are made out of conscious alone then the decision maker will not put into consideration the consequences of his or her decisions. Therefore it is important for intellect to be used since one is able to examine the feeling, understand the feeling and do appropriate reasoning before making decisions. Therefore for appropriate decision making both intellect and conscious should be used.

The decision taking process actually demands that it should involve both intellect and conscience. Intellect determines how much accurate the decision can and conscience support in taking the right decision. So while listening to all, decision should be made on basis of intellect as well as the consciousness .These things help in ensuring that the decision which is to be taken is the right one. Sometime , when someone take the decisions without using intellect the chances of taking the wrong decision increase this is same in case of conscience . So both of these are important for taking a right and good decision .
