So, the adjacent side of the parallelogram be 3x / 4 cm

According to Question,

Perimeter of ||gm = 70 cm

2(sum of adjacent sides) = 70 cm

2(x + 3x / 4) = 70

⇒ (4x + 3x) / 4 = 70 / 2

⇒ 7x / 4 = 35

⇒ 7x = 35 × 4

⇒ 7x = 140

⇒ x = 140 / 7

⇒ x = 20

Required adjacent sides »

x = 20 cm

3x / 4 = 3(20) / 4 = 60 / 4 = 15 cm

Hence, the adjacent sides of the parallelogram are 20 cm and 15 cm respectively.
