and other adjacent side be y

3x= 4y ( given)

perimeter = 70cm

= 2(x+ y) = 70
x+y = 35
x= 35-y

so 3(35-y) = 4y
105-3y = 4y
105 = 7y
y= 105/7
y = 15
x = 35-15
= 20
