AnSwer:

Let the rectangle be ABCD.

Then as per question one side of the rectangle is 15 m. So,

  • Let side BC = 15m

  • AC (Diagonal)= 17 m

By applying Pythagoras Theorem,

 \implies \sf \: \: \: {AC}^{2} = {AB}^{2} + {BC}^{2} \\ \\ \implies \sf \: \: \: AB = \sqrt{ {AC}^{2} - {BC}^{2} } \\ \\ \implies \sf \: \: \: AB = \sqrt{ {17}^{2} - {15}^{2} } \\ \\ \implies \sf \: \: \:AB = \sqrt{289 - 225} \\ \\ \implies \sf \: \: \:AB = \sqrt{64} \\ \\ \implies \sf \: \: \:{ \underline{ \boxed{ \purple{ \sf{{AB = 8 \: m }}}}}} \: \bigstar

So now,

 \sf \implies \: Area \: of \: rectangle = l \times b \\ \\ \sf \implies \: 15 \times 8 \\ \\ \sf \implies \: { \underline{ \boxed{ \red{ \sf{120 \: {m}^{2} }}}}} \: \bigstar

Therefore, area of the. rectangle is 120m².
