One students is doing experiment to draw the path of light rays passing through a glass slab. For this, he measured the angle of refraction
and angle of emergence for every angle of incidence. In all the cases he found that

In each case the angle of refraction will be less than the angle of incidence as the refractive index of glass slab is more than that of air . Therefore the light will be entering from a rarer medium to denser medium hence light will move toward the normal which leads the angle of refraction to be less than angle of incidence.

The angle of emergence will equal to the angle of incidence and the incident ray and the emergent ray are parallel to each other in case of a rectangular glass slab.
