no.of men = 1/3 n
women = 200 + 1/3 n
now,
n = 1/3 n + 200 + 1/3 n
n = 200 + 2n/3
n = 600 +  2n
n -2n = 600
-n = 600
but the no.of people will not be in negetive
so the total no.of people = 600

Let total number of people in a group is ' n '

According to the given information

No of men = 1/3 n

Number of women = (1/3 n) + 200

The equation will be

n = (1/3 n ) + (1/3 n + 200)

= 200 + ( 2n /3)

Taking L.C.M.

n = (600 + 2n ) /3

3n = 600 + 2n

subtracting 2n from both the sides

3n - 2n = 600

n = 600

Hence number of people in a group is 600.
